Hardly a period goes by that the automatic top up fails. Credit card info. seems to never be stored even when updated. I simply want a phone ....period. If Virgin is unable to provide that let me know and I'll switch to another provider.
Cons: constant top up problem

This phone plan has a $1.50/day web data fee, which simply check your account balance from the phone will charge it. I did not know that until I check my balance 10 times in a month and run out of money. This plan is a very bad idea !!!

i paid the $20 monthly plan with 400 minutes but msm & data cost extra.if you talk and msm a lot. i would recomend the $30 monthly plan with 1500 min.& 1500 message plus 30mb data.
Pros: best prepaid plan, only 5 cents per min
Cons: i hope the msm could be deduct from the 400 min

My automatic top-uo via credit card has been in effect for years, yet every few months I get tons of messages saying I must immediately top-up or lose service. This is highly aggravating & communicates incompetence.

I logged into my Virgin account and could find no information other than my Account Balance. I wanted to know what charges were made to my account in the past. I wanted to know what automatic top-ups were needed. My wife and I have used these plans for years and continue to receive unwanted text messages warning about top-ups when this is done automatically. This is very annoying. Please just notify us when an automatic top-up will occur.
Pros: cheap
Cons: annoying text warnings, on-line information is insufficient

I cannot find any way to pay for you to keep my number for one year. The web site needs to add this choice.
Otherwise I like the phone, service, and value.

The only way that should be able to happen and cause them to disconnect until you pay for the next month is if you have a limited number of anytime minutes, texts, etc in the plan you chose and have already used all of that limited number. For example, I just payed for the $20 payLo 400 minute plan for my initial first month until deciding which unlimited type plan I wanted. Of course, with only 400 minutes included in the $20 plan, when I used all 400, I only had the option to put more cash in top-up account to pay by the extra minute, to restart the plan month early by paying on that date(a week before my due date), or go ahead and pay for a new, better plan(also to start new month early, which changes your payment due date each month to whatever day you restarted your plan, or started a new one). The only way they should ever cut you off early in the month is if you've used all the minutes in your plan and do not have any cash in your top up account to pay for extra. You definitely do NOT have to normally pay for more than one month at a time to keep the phone on for the entire month. Hope that helps a little...

What happened to my old plan that would auto top up? I find the new setup cumbersome. That the cost has edged up slightly for a service that barely works in my home doesn't make me happy. I'll stay only because you provide the best price for a service I only use for rarely at most..

I doubt this can actually be of assistance to anyone, but when this plan is used as a phoe and ONLY a phone, no matter if you don't want ANY texts (I don't know how nor do I care to do so) or any DATA usage (don't want and don't care to, either) if something or someone does this - you get charged anyway and you can't stop it. I would suppose too many WANT this capability - I, however, DO NOT. Anything that happens, whether under your control or not, YOU pay for - even if you rarely use your phone even JUST as a PHONE. (And it's not a smart phone, it a "dumb" phone - for calls and emergency only.)

It's 2013!!!! Just about all the other carriers for cell service allow to purchase ANY PHONE the carrier has out for use with prepaid and normal plans. I need a new phone and can only purchase a "paylo phone"!!!!!! Your customers must have more selections and as a virgin mobile customer, I believe #1 Virgin Mobile would benefit if they made ALL there phones work with whichever plan they have. I need to purchase a new phone from virgin mobile. The thing stopping me from doing so is, I can only afford virgin mobile with assurance wireless, which means I forced to purchase a paylo phone. Thats not fair. To top that all of all the phones for each "plan", and very old and outdated. Something must be done. If it your going to start losing customers. Even though the service or rate plans are cheap, no one wants an old outdated cell phone. Virgin mobile needs to have ALL of there phones an ability to work with any plan. The cell phones to choose from should be cheaper because they are outdated ALL OF THEM!!!!! Get some new phones and make all virgin mobile phones able to work with all plans provided.
Pros: each phone could work with any plan
Cons: all the phones to purchase are old/outdated, outdated phones available for paylo

Our Family has Three Virgin Mobile phones and we pay $90/year per phone and that is a great deal. Especially for folks who only use the phone for emergency and critical calls. It would be nice if the balances could be moved from phone to phone as one person in the family always runs out of minutes and the rest of us never do.

I never thought I'd feel moved enough to write a review and I always thought that the people who wrote them were just employees of said company trying to entice people to use the product. Yet, here I am telling anyone who reads this, that the payLo plan is extremely flexible and easy to use. You can have one plan this moth and an entirely different one next month. Trust me, you're in the right place.

I have used the pay as you go plan since 2006. They would automatically charge me $15 every 3 months and the minutes would never expire. This was perfect for me because I live in Canada for 8 months a year and could use the stockpiled minutes when I arrived back in the US in December.
They no longer have this plan so I guess I'll just cancel my service. No use having them top up my phone if the minutes are going to expire before I use the. It's a shame because I loved this plan!!
Cons: minutes expire

I've been a Virgin Mobile Customer since year 2005. I was previously using PayLo and this is the fair economic service you could get for Talk and Text, but PayLo is not design for data. If you are seeking for data and an android phone, go on Beyond Plan. PayLo is useful for people who could operate simple phones (Non-Smart Phones) especially adults who hates complicated phones. My father is currently using PayLo since 2006 and we have no trouble with his service. Also, we are not worrying paying large amount of bills every month because everything is fixed. Now, I am currently using Beyond Plan. Virgin Mobile is the cheapest way to save money especially in today's economic crisis. My girlfriend switched from many mobile companies and she said that Virgin Mobile is the best of all.
Pros: affordable, good coverage, best of all network
Cons: lack of phone in paylo
