This phone has great battery life. Unfortunately it does not have a keypad so it is harder to type with. It is small and easy to carry around.

I don't need a freakin' MTV Ringtone. I need a plain ring ring ring. Even worse, I can't even BUY a plain MA Bell ringtone. Uggghhh... I need something I can hear over some Rihanna buzz tone on the go.

I have been using this product since 2010 and ever had any issue with phone. I has good battery life, good features, slim and so.......on This is really good for the people who want to use this like a phone (dailing and receiving calls)

All I need is a phone phone. Battery after initial charge went 12 days before needing recharge. Screen is bright and clear, volume and sound also loud enough and clear. I would not mind having a camera but never used it on my last one. This one does have a speakerphone though so it's a good trade off to me. Have not found call history yet if it is there. Hope this lasts for 6 years like my other VM phone.

When I turn this phone on and set it down it becomes completely inoperable after 30 minutes or so. I have to pop the battery out and replace it before the phone will power up properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really easy to use. For $15 up front and $30 a month I've made all the calls and texts I wanted. Got on email (tedious process) a few times, can't check maps etc at all.
People laugh and say "that's your phone"? Then I ask what they pay, what they really use on the net. After they ask how I get on facebook and play Angry Birds it is more obvious to me that this simple thing fits me great.
Clicky-clack of texting is not great without QWERTY, vritually no internet use, cheap and has lasted a year.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had a cell phone since 1989, so I know a little about them. This phone is perfect for just making calls. Forget all the ridiculousness that smartphones offer! A so-called "smartphone" can't even dial out with a press of a button, because there are none! This little phone is fantastic, small, and suprise, suprise... actually has buttons which makes using it soooo much easier. I have an Apple iPod Touch 4 which is great for all the apps and all, but a phone with actual buttons is essential for someone who wants ease of use. My company gives me a smartphone, and what a disaster! Makes calls if your finger barely touches it after you just made a call. Smartphones are a disaster. This little guy is awesomely small, works great, has excellent battery life, and hardly costs anything! I have bought 5 of these in the past 2 years, and they withstand drops to concrete and washes in the washing machine. What a phone!

I bought this phone and switched to virgin mobile after I had become sick of my at&t bill. I just wanted a to be able to make some calls and send a couple texts here and there, I AM NOT a heavy texter. Once I played with the settings and got this little guy set up the way I wanted I have been absolutely happy with it. The calls have been clear, the volume is excellent, I LOVE the size of this thing. Now, if you are a heavy texter, I do not think this phone would be for you, if you want lots of features then this is not a phone for you!!!! I use the calender function to remind me of things all day, I send maybe 5 texts a day and I make lots of calls. For the money this is a really cool little phone, and so easy to carry in pocket :)

I was not sure what to expect for a phone this cheap. I have been more than impressed with this phone. It's better some some of the other phones I have had. The phone and service is clear and sharp. The phone performs better then I thought it would. I would rate this a 10.
If you are looking for a phone that is a phone and only a phone, look no more. If you want a camera and other items, you may want to look around, but I bought this for a phone and I love it.

I purchased this phone at a great 7/11 sale a couple of years ago. It sat in a desk drawer for a year--and then my main phone went missing. I cracked the clamshell cover on the LG101, setup a plan on virginmobileusa.com while charging the phone, and was ready to roll in 30 minutes.
It's a very basic phone, but performs well at making calls and texting. Ringer is loud, the speaker is clear and the person at the other end never complained about me cutting out or not being able to hear me.
I love having this thing around. We've loaned it out to friends in need of a short-term phone and for a few bucks, they've got a handy replacement.
There may be fancier phones out there, but if you need something simple, something in a pinch or something just downright affordable, this is a definite thumbs up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I drop it all the time, doesn't hurt a thing. Very good for internet, texting, phone calls. It is such a reliable cell phone. I would recommend this phone.

This phone can really take a beating but still works like new. I have had this phone for a lil over 2 years and dropped it at least 300 times (no joke). I drive with it next to me in the seat for quick access, but I usually forget to grab it before getting out. So into the road it lands. Occasionally the back pops off when I drop it but it slides back on. The screen is still fully intact and it usually lands screen side down. It is used daily as a primary phone with the original battery and still holds a good charge. I had purchased it as a temporary replacement for a more expensive phone that I use to have. But it has held up great so I stayed with it. The screen size is small and very limited with online use. But if you need a phone that is cheap but will last the LG 101 is what you need!

I like this phone! I'm not a big phone person and don't require much since I use my computer for most things. I really need to talk. I text too, but not a lot. It is a great phone for those who don't want all the updated technological advances, and it is super affordable!

If all you want is to make/receive phone calls and mostly receive texts and you want it in the smallest phone available that is relatively simple to use, you'll love this phone. It's small size really makes it appealing. Simple to use.
It has no dedicated alpha keypad, but I never text so I don't care. The phone can send/receive texts but you'll be using the numeric keys which would be time consuming, but okay for occasional sending text and no problem reading texts.
I've had mine for more than a year and never have problems, never freezes up, great battery, good reception, great battery life, very slim and easily fits in any pocket. Don't like built in ring tones but I use the one beep mode when at an office.
I would recommend this to a friend!

this would be a lot better deal if you did like most other pre paid services did and include at least a little air time included with the purchase . You know as in like Thanks for choosing us . instead it kinda screams ha got you man
