This is my first upgraded phone from a basic phone with an mp3 player. The camera does take better pics than the phone that I had before. The only feature that it is missing that I wish that it had was the mp3 function. There are No apps for this phone. I can not get this phone to load images from websites/Facebook that are recognizable at all. they are so pix-ulated you can not see what they are. The ringer is good and loud and i can hear the other person better than on most phones. my boyfriend has trouble pressing the buttons as they are so small and he has large hands. I have found a way to cut my nails so that i can use it with more ease. But overall it is a good phone.
Pros: call quality, battery life, good camera function
Cons: small keys, no mp3 player

I had a Kyrocera Oystr on the 18 cent per minute plan. That was a great plan but the phone could not take advantage of it. I had to upgrade to the paylo plan (20 cents per minute, only can use the 1mb/1.50 per day data rate which was a bummer). But the upgrade to a keyboard, bigger screen more memory, email etc. was worth it. The phone setup easily. I did use tech service on the phone and I was hooked up in 1/2 hour. I was able to add my email accounts very easily. The texting is much easier and so far the battery life is as good as the oystr. The screen is bigger and details more precise. It takes getting used to. Menus and such are different than the Oystr. My only beef is with the paylo service. If I accessed my account on the Oyster I was not charged a data fee. I only got charged when I actually went online. So I feel this phone milks my data rate much more. I don't have the 1 month/5mb for $5 options anymore. I guess the push is for folks to go to a monthly plan overall. I only use the phone for travelling, texting and emergencies. I just have to be careful what I look at to avoid getting dinged for data. If I need it, it's there.
Pros: big upgrade for little $
Cons: paylo service not as good

I purchased this phone online with my airtime minutes. I received it within a couple of days. But the keyboard buttons are so tiny I do not know how it can be used without pushing several of the buttons at a time. I did not even take it out of the box. I am returning it and I will go to a store to purchase the next phone so that I can actually see it and how it works.
Cons: tiny keyboard

For the last 4.5 years I have been using an inexpensive flip phone. Texting with the flip phone was cumbersome and tiring. By contrast I am delighted with texting with the Kyocera Brio. As another reviewer wrote, pushing the keys with the side of one's finger results in easiest use. I also like: the larger display (compared to my old flip phone); ring tone options; that the phone is slim and fits into my jeans pocket almost as easily and unnoticeably as my old flip phone. I plug the phone in every night for charging and have experienced no battery issues. I bought this phone via the VirginMobileUSA web site. It arrived after one business day.

I just recieved this phone yesterday to replace a LG200 that was terrible pairing up to the bluetooth in my new car. As I said it was for emergency so first call I made was throught the car's bluetooth. It paired up with no problem to the car and the voice regconition was very good. Make a call to friend went with no problem. As far as other issues as in battery life, this remains to be seen.
Pros: bluetooth

I hate this phone. It beeps whenever I am talking to someone. The text thread is less than appealing. Instead of the most recent text appearing first, you have to scroll down to the last time you spoke with a contact in order to read their most recent text. Annoying to say the least. Plus in the few months I've been using this phone I've had to pull out the battery to reset as the phone.

I switched from a smart phone with a service plan to this phone, and absolutely love it. A smart phone was overkill for me, all I really wanted was something to text with and talk if I needed it. This works perfectly for that. The functions are straightforward and easy to use, the keyboard is great. It's lightweight, the battery lasts days with lots of texting. I've got the $30 plan, which is about perfect for this phone. More talk and texts than you need, and I can use it to check email. Perfect balance!
Pros: battery life, ease of use

The phone has a nice look, however, the keys are way too small. I just received it 2 days ago and activated it today, however, I have to return it and purchase another with larger keys. Shipping was super fast and activation a breeze. If you have "bionic" eyes this is the phone for you.

Purchased this phone today and when I tried to activate online (four times) I kept getting an error message and to contact VM. I called VM three different times and was told first that the phones seriel number didn't exist and then that the phone was in the new upgraded system and a specialist would have to help me. I was on hold two different times at 30 minutes each. I finally just packed up the phone to take back to the store tomorrow.
Why would VM put phones on the market that can not be activated ?? I have been a VM customer for many years and this is the worst experience I have ever had with them.

I purchased this phone yesterday from Radio Shack, and I am having the exact same problem. I took it back to Radio Shack today to try and rectify the situation. An employee there tried his best to fix the problem, even going as far as calling VM representatives to try and get the phone activated (I'm doing a phone swap). According to him, the phone should be activated within 24 hours. If it is not, I will have to back to the store for the third time, and I will most likely not buy another Kyocea phone, if this if the kind of problem I can expect to have with them.

Had the phone for a few days now. As titled, so far, so good. The keys are very small and I have a bit of trouble using them, but have found if I use the side of my fingertips, I get fewer typos. The menu is easy to follow (it"s much like other phone menus), and the features are good. So far, the battery charges quickly, and a charge lasts quite a while - no complaints. I use it mainly to talk or text - the payLo plan on this phone works nicely for me. I would recommend this phone.

I had a high end phone before, purchased this phone because the keyboard is very similar, and the price was right. This is a more basic version, doesn't have all of the pretty graphics of course, a simple black, white and red screen. Camera is just fine, I can hear well, text easily, and check my email. You can even increase the size of the font for easier reading. Few bells and whistles, but we knew that :) Great phone for the price and battery life is very good. Simply plug in to charge at the end of your day and your good to go in the morning.
I am so very happy to leave the large phone bills in the dust! Thank you to Virgin Mobile for listening to criticism about battery issues and offering a lower end phone with good battery life :) I've been using this phone for about a week and so far so good :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am not a big fan of fancy phones. I want mine basic and easy. If it makes calls and texts I am happy ha. Camera is decent. Calls are clear. I dont know if able to change ringtones or not but frankly I dont need a fancy one ha. All around this phone is great. If you have bigger fingers I wouldnt recommend cause the keys are pretty small!
Pros: simple, basic, nice looking
