The short version goes like this: If you don't have 4G coverage, if you run Linux, or if you spend you time downloading copious amounts of videos, then this isn't the device for you. For people who live off a laptop and mooch Wi-Fi wherever they can get it, this device is indispensable.
The flaws are all in the software. When it can't connect over 4G, it will occasionally fail to fallback to 3G - followed by dialogs asking you to manually dial-in and log-on. It would have been nice if drivers for Linux were also included on the dongle: Ubuntu chokes on it, Fedora won't recognize it, and Android flatly ignores it. Finally, it would have been extra nice if it could handle faxing and voicemail (Why not? This is a modem, after all!).
On the whole, it does its job well. You don't need a separate driver disk, the power consumption is reasonable, and there's nothing more that you need to put in a bag other than the device itself. It's not a substitute for hardwired broadband, but it's just enough for an e-mail client, a couple of open websites, instant messaging, SSH sessions, and OS updating, all while on the road.
Pros: road warrior, solid bandwidth on 4g, windows drivers built-in
Cons: no linux driver(s), scant documentation, 3g operation may need manual configuration, not a substitute for hardwired broadband
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had this product only for a day, then the Hurricane Sandy hit. All of a sudden the "Data" towers were down. Support stated almost 2 weeks to get back up. I decided to return product.
But while I did have for a day, it worked fine. The coverage was better then 3g and the speed was much faster. If I need a device for my laptop, this would work fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!
