Purchased this to replace the original LG Optimus Elite I had and to see if I would eventually purchase the HTC EVO 4G later down the road. I didn't want to put more than the 129 I spent on the HTC One V but I feel as if I did. I can manage all the same normal apps as before but a lot faster, streaming music from google play never drops out on me and let me not forget the really nice Beats Audio that really makes me glad I purchased Skull Candies >.<. I will say that I would really love a working alarm clock, but I found a workaround to get it working until the folks that make the OS fix it.
Pros: best bang for your buck
Cons: non functional alarm clock

Bought the phone in August 2012 and it is now May 2013. The phone constantly freezes and I had to reboot the phone (hold down volumn up button and press power button) several times. After struggling with this for several weeks, the phone no longer works. Eight months and I have to get a new phone. The phone was lightly used.

This was a great phone for the first 2 months but after adding a few apps on there it greatly slowed down. The battery was amazing at first and now it dies with great ease. Theres now a huge lag when im waiting for my phone to unlock, open a app, open a text,or do just about anything. It was great at first buf if you are someone who like continued speed then i wouldn't recommend it.
Cons: how quickly it slowed down

I bought this phone in Dec, it is now May and I just ordered a Galaxy Victory. The size, price and features are the reason I purchased this phone, but after just 5 months of what I would term average use, this phone is failing. I have problems with apps disappearing, internet connection issues on network and wifi, and battery time. I am looking forward to my new Galaxy.

For the price, it is a great phone. The only problem I have had with it in the 5 months I have had it is that the headphone jack stopped working.

So far I have had 7 htc one v phones and with all 7 phones the Alarm does not work all the time. HTC is aware of this but no solution as of 5/2013..Would tell you NOT to get this phone IF you also need an alarm!
Pros: the phone is great
Cons: the alarm is a big con

This product is a entry level smartphone it wont handle EVERY thing you throw at it but it will be a great phone for new owners.
Of course it will not have a Snap dragon quad core processor or anything.
I have had this phone for 6 months and i love it i still have it and love it!
So do not buy expecting thes peed or power of a top end phone

Cons: processor

This phone does really well on alot of things, the speak to text has out performed my expectations. The predictive text is amazingly accurate.
The only problem that I do not like about it, is the loading time to get to each menu. Like going from messages to the home screen 4 sec delay of loading. Then if I wanted to go into messages it tries to load and sometimes fails the first time to do that, then again it fails to load when I try to go to read 1 of my messages. I could do without that.

Unless you have your heart set on buying the latest and greatest fad phone out there, this will suffice and exceed any expectations. The phone is the EXACT size as an iphone 4s and can do everything the iphone can, if not more. If you have any knowledge of computers this thing will be your best friend and will be a powerhorse in your pocket. Because of the small screen the GPU doesnt need to strain much to process which means it runs smooth with most games. All my prior phones have been iPhones, so I was a little skeptical and biased about android phones. This phone doesn't cost hundreds of dollars or is it fighting for the spotlight as the greatest phone ever, but what it is, is underrated. This phone is great for what I paid, it feels good in my hand, the performance is great and it looks awesome. granted it lacks some new features but for the price you cant go wrong.
I bought this expecting it to be a lower end smartphone and came away with the realization that this is just as capable as any phone ive ever used.
Pros: cheap, attractive, build quality, htc
Cons: no front-facing camera

I was never going to get an HTC but I found this phone had great reviews so I decided to try it. It is a great phone! The only thing I would give a thumbs down on is no front view camera : ( The battery lasts a fair time. Compared to my old Galaxy it lasts so long! I love this phone! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a more simple smartphone! It's great! 5 Stars!!

AT FIRST I loved this phone, I got it in December, it's May and already freezes, I have to charge it twice a day or it dies. I DONT GET HALF OF MY TEXTS! I click on the internet, and it goes back to the home page OVER AND OVER AGAIN. My HTC Aria that I had for 2 years (cheap smartphone) worked better then this one. If you use your phone a lot, don't get this phone. I think it's made pretty SLAM-BAM-CHEAP.
BUT if you're looking for an average smartphone and can't afford a galaxy or iPhone, and won't use it that much you might like it? but no, probably not after 5 months.
THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PHONE IS BEATS AUDIO.
I'M GETTING THE IPHONE 4S!

Good size screen and brightness for outdoor viewing yet is not too large or bulky to handle. The long battery life was a primary reason for selecting this phone. Still learning features but one that I wish was more intuitive is the "albums" for photos and trying to date stamping photos. Also like the "quick text" for standard replies and questions.

I have had this phone for about 8 months now. I like the way it looks and the big screen and even the little lip on the bottom. It definitely makes it easy to carry around. However, I am having some software issues. I have never dropped this phone and it freezes a lot. When I try to access my messages, it will let me click on the message and then revert back to the main screen. I've tried resetting it many times but it just doesn't help. After the first few months, the internet connection started to fail as well. Now even on wifi, it's extremely slow. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who lives and breathes smartphones. It would be a great starter one though!
Pros: style, battery life, speaker
Cons: freezes, internet connection

HTC is suppose 2 be a great brand of phn... But not this "one" I got this phn cause of the beats audio & im very disappointed... have had it 4 abt 5 months & its a slow piece of garbage... I have 2 restart it @least 10 times a day... when im having multiple convos over txt it freezes up & works slow... the keyboard is super small for my fingers so txtn is a nightmare... ill send txt & they will stay in limbo till the phns restarted... so important people think im ignoring them cause they never receive the message... the speaker on this phn is muffled & cant understand wht people r say for the most part.... when i get a new phn im going 2 break this phn by throwing it against a wall or on the ground.. thts the only joy i will get frm this phn!!! DONT BUY THIS GARBAGE PHN.. save ur money for something better like the HTC evo.. my sister has tht phn & says its a great phn.. thts my next phn i will try!!!

First venture into the smartphone world, and I'd say you definitely get what you pay for.
For a sub 100 smartphone I can't complain that much, but the performance and response of this phone is just weak. I often get lags, I have at most 10 installed apps not native to the phone, and I think ESPN is the most intense of those apps.
Really lags, frequently, also switching between wifi and 3G is cumbersome and doesn't always go smoothly.
What is great about it is the volume and loudness, rarely are things inaudible and the screen looks good. I don't know if something I have on here is whats bringing this thing down, but its slow, so be advised, you will need xtra patience with this thing.
Pros: audio, screen, feel
Cons: performance

At first this phone was fast, however after 6 months of use, it has slowed down on multiple apps and is frustrating to say the least. You simply cannot even use your thumb on the tiny keypad at all. Restarted it to no avail. Would not reccommend this, unless if you want to wait 10-15 seconds between facebook posts or web entries.

I love this new phone, I had T-mobile and an HTC Sensation, This phone works just as well if not better. I love how I can take 3D pictures, my kids, nieces and nephews get a real kick out of it. I love that the apps can be saved to memory card instead of having to delete them.
Pros: easy to use, 2d/3d camera
Cons: batery dies quickly if you use it consistantly

Take it from me - do not get this phone. I don't know why anyone would give it five stars considering it's the most stressful phone I've ever owned. This was my first foray into the world of smartphones (blackberries don't count) and I'm just left feeling like a poor little rich kid because this phone is SO STRESSFUL. It can take up to a full minute to exit your current app and go send a quick text. Or make a quick call. Or just pretty much anything. And most apps - like SleepTime, for example - don't work half the time cuz it'll just crash and quit. I've owned it for about 4 months, and I usually don't like to change phones before about 2 years, but I'm ready to chuck this thing somewhere and get something else.
Though for what it's worth, the layout is pretty and the colours are nice and the functions are nice. It just bites more than it can chew and ends up igniting this deep frustration because IT IS SO SLOW.
Cons: speed, lags

Just a quick review. I'm really digging this phone. I got it for a great deal and only pay $35 a month. At first it was a bit sluggish, but I noticed a system update and did it. After about 5 mins or so, it booted back up and seemed to run even better. It lags every now and then still but what the heck, it isn't top of the line. It has run everything I have put on it very well. I always run the pre-installed app "Task Manager" and hit kill all and that keeps alot of space free and seems to fix the lag when it happens. Overall great phone. Plays games, music, videos, surfs the net all very smoothly. The screen is really good, nice bright and clear. Camera is nice, nothing special, but it has a flash and that's a plus. Coverage is great, no dropped calls and crystal clear reception. I'm sure there's more but you get my point, I like it. LOL
