Overall I think this a good phone. If you need a smart phone that does the minimum then this is your phone. It does everything you want it to do but at a slower pace. I've had my phone for about 2 months now and I'm content. It does shut down on me at times or it freezes while trying to open apps at times.
But good things are like the sound quality and the easiness of use of the phone. If you want a cheap but good quality phone, I would recommend the Kyocera Event!
Pros: good
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had this phone for about a month and it still works Great!:) I think its funny that some people have said that you can only put a few apps on it lol I am someone who really loves fun apps I have over 50 apps and they all work great:) I have had a few phones and have a bad habit of dropping them so I know to make sure I put a screen protector on them amazon sells one's from under $5 that are made for the event:) and they also sell cheap double protection cases for under $5 .The event has a camera that takes decent pics and great video:) I think its an all around great phone:)
Pros: its really fast and has close to a gig space:)
Cons: i wish the camera had auto focus

I've owned this phone for about 2 months now. The phone works well, sound quality is good, volume is good and it runs a few basic apps without a problem. In eco mode the battery life has been very good. I've put about 6 apps on this phone and that's about all it can handle. If you try and treat this like a high-end Apple or Samsung phone you are going to be very disappointed. It's just not designed for that.
The one major downside is the camera. Not a big issue for me since I don't use a phone as my camera but some might have an issue with it.
To summarize: It's a good basic phone and the price can't be beat.
Pros: battery life in eco mode, call quality, price
Cons: camera, limited app space and processing power, micro sd behind the battery
I would recommend this to a friend!

This phone is AWFUL! It turns off when it wants to. Sometimes it doesn't let you text. The screen freezes ALL THE TIME! The screen scratches easily. I bought this phone so that I could afford my phone bill as a college student. Obviously I'm going to have to get a iPhone just to get a accurate phone. UGHHHHH! I have NEVER been more disappointed in a phone in my entire life!!!!
Cons: screen freezes, slow, screen scratches easily, phone reboots all the time

Got the phone this week it has been a new learning experience for me since im not use to ICS. It has crashed once but that was my fault by pressing to many buttons to end the command. Its been a life saver for me and its really cool so far i will update this review after about a month of use

This is my third time attempting to write a positive review about this phone but I keep getting e-mails saying my review has been rejected..!! For no good reason..!! I demand that Sir Richard himself OK this last review. Had lousy customer service with my last phone carrier and Id hoped that Virgin mobile would be different. Come on guys...
Pros: price, feels solid

My first one was defective. My second one is nice and I installed a 3rd party launcher, the Go EX, because the built in launcher has issues. battery life is fine with third party apps, and the screen is decent and when you leave at least 300mb free internal memory things run faster and more smoothly. with my 32GB memory card I'm loving this phone. It's not the best but it's quite satisfactory especially when you are short on cash. Thank you Virgin Mobile and Kyocera!

The phone is too slow. The text app doesn't always work, the keyboard comes up and when I type nothing shows up. Apps crash. Don't let the specs fool you. 1GHz processor with Android 4.0 doesn't mean good performance with this phone. I bought it to save money but I've realized I have to get a more expensive phone to get decent smart phone capabilities.
Cons: slow so slow

It's a good phone If you don't mind resetting it after it locks up once a week. At least that's what happens to mine. Not good when you have an important call or text pending. Despite turning off WIFI, it manages to turn on anyway. When it works it works fine. But it isn't a reliable phone. I got it at a great price which makes me forgive some of the problems. Thank god I still have my old LG Optimus V in case this one completely fails. I'm staying with Virgin Mobile though. It's the best non-contract service out there. However, it looks like I'm going to have to spend a little bit more to get a reliable phone.

I bought this phone for my wife who wanted to move from a flip phone to something with fun features. We didn't want to spend much on a better phone until we know for sure she likes using a smartphone. There seems to be a big gap in the Virgin Mobile smartphone product line pricing. It seems to go for $70 to over $200 with nothing in between. So we went low end for now and I got a really good price at Amazon. The first phone out of the box was defective. The second one works fine. The phone has a cheap feel about it and the screen is not as crisp as I would like it. Battery life is short but that seems to be a universal complaint with smartphones. That said, it works pretty good. Processing is fast and actually seems faster than my 4g Samsung. My wife is quickly learning how to use it. I suspect that the phone will not have a long life and some of the other reviews would support that. Once it gives out we will upgrade. In sum, I think this is a good starter smartphone.

I bought this phone about 1.5 months ago and I hate it. The first month was amazing and I loved it, but now it malfunctions all day almost. I keep having to take out the battery, and it will work for 5 minutes and then it will go back to freezing up, not making calls, and calling random people from my phone book. Wont use this phone for much longer.

The moment I opened the box and turned this phone on I was impressed, it had speed and despite the 3.2 mega pixle camera, it took nice pictures. In fact this was the best phone I have ever had (coming from a HTC One V, Lg Optimus elite, and an older Lg). Then after about a month and a half, something went wrong. When Turned the phone on, it stayed in the opening screen, the one that comes up and tells you the phones brand. It sits on this screen until you take the battery out and try again, to which it does the same thing. I took it to tech support and I was told to reset the whole phone (which causes all the memory to be erased) and try again. The phone never did end up working. This is such a waste of money. By a different phone.
Pros: speed (until it breaks down)
Cons: the total life span of the phone (1.5 months)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this phone not long ago. I maybe have had it for a month and it freezes all the time. In order to access the SD card I have to remove the battery which is not good especially when I just want to switch out the card for another and I have to wait for the phone to load all over. Also, the phone randomly cuts off for no reason and also freezes alot when i am opening a program such as my contact log. Overall I would recommend other customers to buy this phone.
Cons: freeze alot, inserting and taking out sd card

I've had this phone less than a month. It freezes when I'm texting. The screen isn't crisp and makes reading anything in the browser hard. if you want a phone that is for phone calls only, this is your phone. Don't expect it to do much more than that.
Cons: slow, freezes
